Shift/Floor Manager
Job Summary:
• Recruit, interview, screen, hire, train, and develop employees; do sales forecasting and manpower planning; conduct risk/safety inspections; manage inventory and facility; order and receive products; conduct P&L analyses; schedule crew members; manage revenue periods. Estimate expected food consumption; then requisition or purchase supplies, and/or procure food from storage
• Supervise and administer day-to-day operations of the restaurant and provide leadership to restaurant staff. Responsible for the friendly service and outstanding quality food CHILORIO'S is known for
• Our leaders not only know the systems and standards, but also "walks the talk" and set the example on a consistent basis
• The shift/floor manager sets and achieves the highest standard in field management, employee experience, customer experience and financial results
• Supervises daily restaurant operations; assists with menu planning, maintains sanitation standards and assists personnel on the floor during peak meal periods. Direct and work with the personnel to successfully execute restaurant operations; strive to continually improve guest and associate satisfaction and maximize the financial performance in areas of responsibility.

Position Tasks:
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with CHILORIO'S policies and applicable laws
• Responsible for managing and maintaining the overall operations of the restaurant; ensuring company standards, communicating CHILORIO’S philosophy & way of conducting business, as well as making key decisions and executing day to day operational activities
• Responsible for the staffing, scheduling, and the training and development, of restaurant personnel, as well as motivating & disciplining
• Responsible for ensuring EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY, and OUTSTANDING SERVICE
• Responsible for all kitchen functions throughout the daily operations including recipe adherence, housekeeping, sanitation, safety and setting the pace
• Each shift/floor manager has financial responsibilities for food costs, labor costs, and controlling expenses
• Open and/or close the store
• Inspects guests' rooms, public access areas, and outside grounds for cleanliness and appearance. Responsible for having the restaurant, kitchen and bathrooms spotless
• Help cashiers in their stations, authorize cash returns and other authorizations
• Establishes standards for personnel administration and performance, service to patrons, advertising, publicity, credit, and type of patronage to be solicited
• Answers patrons' complaints and resolves problems

Position Competences:
• Knowledge of basic food handling and sanitation standards and monitoring associate adherence to standards
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
• Ability to make decisions in a fast paced often unpredictable environment, balancing speed with accuracy. Knowing when a situation requires action versus one that requires thoughtful planning is critical
• Strong consensus building skills to achieve long lasting solutions to problems by considering the needs of all the stakeholders is required for success
• Financial management skills e.g., ability to analyze P&L statements, develop operating budgets, forecasting and capital expenditure planning

- • Extensive knowledge of Restaurant procedures to create efficiencies and report on associate and guest satisfaction and financial performance
- • Ability to use standard software applications including “POS” systems
- • Attention to detail. Absolute dedication to providing phenomenal guest service, and an upbeat, "get it done" attitude• Ability to work as part of a team
- • Knowledge of governmental regulations and safety standards (OSHA, EPA, ADA, CFC, NFPA)

Position Requirements:
